Rambles from SEI

Random ideas and subjects from south east Indiana. We live in a small town located about halfway between Indianapolis and Cincinnati. Two teenagers, one each, one about to graduate. Two dogs, two cats, the only males in the house are human.

new toy

Okay so we finally joined the new millineum and bought a IPOD on Monday. What took us so long you might ask. I don't know why we waited so long either, we both LOVE it! I had forgotten how much I enjoy listening to music, my music. Kent and I have a meeting of the minds about some stuff, but he is off into blue grass (bleach) and I love Jimmy Buffet, all Jimmy Buffet. (You really should listen to his albums, he has many thoughtful songs. They're not all about booze and girls!) It took a day or so to load most of our selected cds. We've used 3/4 of our 4 gigs, yes the nano, we wanted to be able to use it during movement such as walking and running. Now when I walk the dog, weed the gardens, or mow I can be tuning to the beat. I feel like those great Ellen Degenres commercials, or that one for a cell phone which is also a mp3 player. You know the one where the shadow is just getting down while the guy walks along the city streets! I think my biggest problem will be not to sing along - K says I sound like a cat screeching. Here's to progress!

I love my iPod--it was the perfect thing to spend a tax return on. And thanks to my generous brothers and their wives, I now have speakers to plug it into!!!! Yay family!!!
