VOD Awards

Last night wass the VFW's Voice of Democracy Awards Banquet. Jake won 2nd place again this year. He missed being first by 4/400 points or 1%. Personally I think his was stronger than the first place winner. He has a real gift for writing rousing speeches. And apparently I was correct as several people commented that his was outstanding. I will get the text from him and post it later.
The folks just left. It has been a good vist this time around. We pulled the Trek out of the garage and they enjoyed the sunshine. Our weather has been almost perfect. Cool nights with very sunny bright days. Dad is really slowing down. It is so sad to see how frustrated my Mom gets with his lagging. I wish Gaylord had a stroke support group, I know that would help her if she had someplace to vent.
